Underwater Videography FAQs

How do you edit underwater videos?

First of all choose an editing program. There are different programs on the market. For pro level editing look into Adobe Premiere Pro CC or Final Cut. Other possibilities are Adobe Rush or Elements or iMovie are great, easy to use, alternatives for amateur film makers.

Then tell your story, add some royalty free music to it, add titles and color correct. Only use your absolute best shots and keep it short and sweet. When it’s done… share it!

How do you edit underwater video underwater in Premiere Pro CC?

Just follow my instructions in this tutorial…

How do you export your underwater footage?

Simple…just follow these steps:

Can you do an underwater video course online?

Yes, of course. If you have your own camera and underwater housing we can easily do that! You will need your own dive or freedive equipment and/or access to dive sites or a dive shop who can take you out. Just drop me a message and we can schedule some zoom or skype time to organize the course.

What level diver do you need to be before picking up a camera?

Anyone can pick up a camera once you are a certified diver. However I always recommend my students to get some dive experience first. Be a rescue diver minimum and have around 50 to 100 dives logged. Oftentimes underwater videographers are focussed on their filming and not always right near their dive buddy. A good course to do when you are a videographer is the self-reliant course.
